Our Aims

The Pendennis Leisure mission is to get a 6 lane 25m pool and a teaching pool (both accessible) at the heart of a functioning community activity centre open as soon as possible at the old Ships & Castles site. The journey to achieving that is long, and to succeed we will need significant public investment. While we work to secure that, we have reopened as Pendennis Community Centre.

Pendennis Community Centre is committed to enhancing the wellbeing of its community members through various activities and services. The centre focuses on creating an inclusive and supportive environment where individuals can thrive physically, mentally, and socially.

Our primary aims are to:

1. Promote Physical Health

2. Enhance Mental Wellbeing

3. Foster Social Connections

4. Encourage Community Involvement

5. Collaborate with Local Organisations

6. Offer Operational Services

Community centres play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents. They offer a safe and welcoming environment where people can learn, grow, and connect with others. By providing diverse activities and essential services, these centres help build stronger, more resilient communities.
