Meet Jakki Magowan, a qualified Vinyasa yoga and menopause yoga teacher, professional writer, and editor. Based in beautiful Cornwall, Jakki brings mindfulness, depth, and creativity to her teaching and its narrative.
Jakki’s Journey to the Mat
After enjoying yoga for over a decade, Jakki’s path into yoga teaching began with training at Falmouth Yoga School, where yoga is taught with a philosophical grounding in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and other ancient texts like the Bhagavad Gita.
What Makes Jakki’s Classes Special
Her studies inform the meaningful themes she weaves into every session. Her teaching nurtures introspection and self-awareness enveloped in thoughtful sequencing, which transforms each session into a soulful experience rather than focusing on asanas (poses) in isolation.
They blend anatomy, breath, and asana alignment, with a sense of calm purpose. Whether or not you've engaged with yoga philosophy before, Jakki’s approach invites students to explore body, mind, and spirit in an easily accessible and fun way.
