PRISM: Your Path to Lasting Change

ree

We’ve been sharing lots of tips and reflections recently on our Facebook page on how to feel healthier, lighter, and more confident. Now it’s time to bring them all together and introduce PRISM ✨ — a simple, step-by-step approach designed to help you make changes that last.

This isn’t about fad diets or strict rules. It’s about building a lifestyle that feels good, supports your energy, and allows you to enjoy life with confidence.

What is PRISM?

🌟 P – Prepare: Set your mindset and plan for success.

🌟 R – Release: Let go of unhelpful habits and beliefs.

🌟 I – Invite: Welcome new, enjoyable habits.

🌟 S – Sustain: Keep your new lifestyle going strong.

🌟 M – Maintain: Make changes second nature without restriction.

Each step helps you create small but powerful shifts that add up to long-term results.

Prepare: Setting the Foundation

Lasting change begins in the mind. A powerful way to start is by writing a short statement that begins with “I am now…”. For example:

I am now at my target weight. I feel healthy, confident, and full of energy.

Keep it somewhere visible and read it daily. Pair it with a few slow breaths and a moment of visualisation. Over time, this strengthens your belief in what’s possible and sets you up for success.

Release: Old Beliefs and Habits

Our beliefs shape our reactions and choices, often without us realising. If old patterns are getting in the way — like finishing everything on your plate, eating for comfort, or thinking healthy eating means restriction — it’s time to gently release them.

Start by spotting habits that hold you back, such as skipping meals, snacking without awareness, or relying on processed foods. None of this is about blame. It’s about noticing what no longer serves you, and creating space for something better.

Invite: New Supportive Habits

Change sticks when it feels simple and enjoyable. Here are some easy shifts to invite into your routine:

  • Use your hands as a natural guide to portion sizes.

  • Swap one sugary drink for water or herbal tea.

  • Add an extra portion of fruit or veg to each meal.

  • Keep a list of comforting, non-food alternatives like journaling or taking a short walk.

Movement is also a big part of inviting new energy into your life. That doesn’t have to mean the gym — it can be dance, yoga, Pilates, circuits, or even adult ballet. The key is choosing something you enjoy, so it becomes a habit you look forward to.

Sustain: Keep Going Through Setbacks

It’s normal to feel resistance when you start new habits. Your brain prefers the familiar, so it may try to pull you back into old routines. This isn’t failure — it’s a sign that change is happening.

If you keep going, even for just a few more days, those new behaviours start to feel normal. Soon, your brain will want to protect them just as much as it once protected your old patterns.

Maintain: Making Change Stick

The final step is about turning your new habits into second nature. Here’s how:

  • Keep it simple — focus on small actions you can repeat daily.

  • Stay flexible — life isn’t perfect, so don’t let a missed class or a treat undo your progress.

  • Celebrate progress — notice your energy, confidence, and wellbeing growing.

  • Create a supportive environment — surround yourself with people and routines that encourage your goals.

Maintaining is not about restriction or perfection. It’s about living in a way that feels natural, balanced, and sustainable.

The PRISM Journey

PRISM isn’t a quick fix. It’s a guide to help you prepare your mind, release what holds you back, invite in supportive habits, sustain your progress, and maintain change for the long term.

Every small step is progress. With patience, kindness, and consistency, you’ll find yourself becoming healthier, more confident, and more energised — not through willpower, but through creating a lifestyle that truly works for you.

✨ Your journey to a healthier, happier you starts here.
