On 5th September, communities across the world mark the International Day of Charity - a chance to recognise the incredible work that charities do to support people, bring communities together, and create positive change.
Here at Pendennis Community Centre, we are proud to be part of this tradition of giving. Our centre is run with the community at its heart: from toddler groups to fitness classes, social groups to charity fundraising events, everything we do is to create a welcoming, affordable, and supportive space for local people.
We couldn’t do this without our amazing volunteers, supporters, and the wider Falmouth community. Every hour volunteered, every donation made, and every cup of tea shared in our café helps us keep the centre running.
This International Day of Charity, we invite you to get involved:
Volunteer your time – whether helping at an event, supporting one of our regular groups, or lending your skills behind the scenes.
Hire our space – every booking helps sustain the centre and keeps it open for everyone.
Spread the word – tell your friends and neighbours about what we do.
Together, we can keep Pendennis Community Centre thriving as a space for the community, by the community.
